The Rolling Stones: Sympathy for the Devil – og Robbie Williams

 

Forleden lastet jeg opp på Youtube “Sympathy for the Devil” fra The Rolling Stones’ konsert i Los Angeles 13. juli 1975.  Jeg skrev i videobeskrivelsen:  "I love the atmosphere and feeling of this version, can't stop playing it. A wonderful rhythm orgy. Found lots of great photos from 1975. Both the photos and the music have the same joyful feeling. Enjoy!”

Stones spilte fem konserter i Los Angeles i juli 1975.  Versjonen fra 9. juli, fire dager tidligere, kom med på live-albumet ”Love You Live” – og er også fantastisk (Mick Jagger er stor):

Ellers, Wikipedia sier om min Robbie Williams-favoritt “Let Me Entertain You”:  “The chord structure (F, Ab/F, Bb/F, F) and in particular the piano riff is almost identical to the Rolling Stones' song "Sympathy for the Devil", the difference mainly being in tempo.”  Her er den, fra Knebworth i 2003 – fenomenal stemning:
