Frazey Ford

From now on, I’ll sometimes use English in this blog, so that also people from other countries than Norway, can understand it.

These last months I’ve become a big fan of Frazey Ford, the singer of The Be Good Tanyas.  The Be Good Tanyas was a Canadian three-women-band that was active in the years 1999-2008.  In 2010, Ford released her debut solo album, Obadiah.  She wrote almost all of the songs on the album herself.  Here are live versions of two of her songs on the album, “The Gospel Song” and “If You Gonna  Go”:






Both her voice and songs are great, I think.  To avoid being drafted to the Vietnam war, Frazey’s father moved with her mother from the USA to Canada, where she was born.
